In my mind, this desktop manager is as close as you can get to X-Windows. because Easy to use, Easy to configure, Customizable for any taste. I can use and change any hotkeys for any desktop, Stable, Remote Desktops, Lots of advanced features for pros, ALT+TAB Menu, I love it.

This is the best program because, The Desktop icons themselves get RATHER confused rather quickly. As far as I can tell the program keeps its own little desktop icon collection, but when you try to open the C: drive from a customized desktop it loads your stock one and dumps the special one. All in all, nice start, stop with the foolishness and just be X-Windows already.

Multi User Desktop 2004 comes with five desktops, and you can easily switch among them using hot keys. The program lets you add or delete desktops, password-protect them, and give them unique labels. Each desktop can have different video resolution, wallpaper, icons, and even start-up programs. this is the greatest program i ever use.
